Outdoor Wedding Ceremony in co Meath surrounded by woods
Have you ever wondered what the wedding ceremony in the woods would be like? Well, you don't have to wonder much! Eoin and Paulina grant us a glimpse into their wedding ceremony surrounded by woods at The Station House Hotel in Kilmessan, Co Meath.
Eoin and Paulina wanted an outdoor wedding. They knew all the risks and troubles involved, but they were willing to risk it. Their wedding was during the pandemic, and based on the social restrictions; they were expecting very few guests. But mother nature smiled on them as the irish government toned down social restrictions some months before their wedding. When they discovered they would be having more guests, they opted for the turntable surrounded by woods at The Station House Hotel!

''Our vows to each other which we wrote ourselves, it was nerve wrecking but made it so much more personal and special to both of us; and even though we never actually rehearsed the ceremony, it just went smoothly.
We had also chosen to do the old Celtic tradition of Hand Fasting, where we had picked 6 different coloured ribbons that represented different aspects of our lives together. It was so much fun and felt so easy going. And it was so special, as we did it surrounded by woods! Shout out to our spiritualist celebrant Tom Farrell, what a legend of man.''
Wedding dress and Wedding Suit
The dress is made by an Italian Designer, Nicole Milano from her 2018 Bridal collection, but she actually got it from a lovely lady on Adverts, Tereza. She has a small bridal studio out in Ashbourne, co Meath and does the alterations as well. Ask Renata for her details! The groom's suit was from Diffney.
They both wore jewellery that they had given to each other through the year. However the bridal earrings was given from the Maid of honour (Something new), and a Safire ring, which was our grandmothers ring (something borrowed and blue). The groom wore a borrowed watch and Star Wars cufflinks.
Wedding couples thoughts about their wedding:
''We both describe it as the fastest day of our lives, it just flew by like there was no tomorrow! Jokes aside it was absolutely amazing, the stunning setting, all the amazing people, the weather, everything was just perfect. This was the first big party all of us had been to since the pandemic started and so it was just such an amazing atmosphere all around. And even though we weren’t allowed dancing, we still had a sneaky romantic dance at 3am, on the terrace of the hotel surrounded by woods. Can it be more romantic?!''
Advice to couples planning their wedding at Station House Hotel
''Give yourselves more than 3 months to plan your wedding. But most importantly, take a quiet moment to yourselves, somewhere away from the crowd and just enjoy and appreciate your day and each other! One of their good friends told us this at the beginning of the day and it was the best advice we could have got.''
